Upon completion of the course learners should have an understanding of the following:
- Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals
- Roles and responsibilities of manufacturers, importers, employers, and workers
- Basic classification
- Labeling for shipped containers and the workplace
- Safety Data Sheet requirements
Interactive exercises will help reinforce key concepts.
GHS AWARENESS – AN INTRODUCTION TO GHS WITHIN HAZCOM ONLINE COURSE DURATION: Approximately 90 minutes
GHS AWARENESS – AN INTRODUCTION TO GHS WITHIN HAZCOM TEST: Testing conducted in this online GHS Awareness course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved. Students will download an online course handout that includes a copy of the presentation, hazard symbol chart and a General Awareness booklet.
GHS AWARENESS – AN INTRODUCTION TO GHS WITHIN HAZCOM ONLINE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION:Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
