Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1)
WorkSafeBC Basic Firs Aid (previously OFA Level 1) is a 7-hour program (excluding breaks) designed to provide lifesaving first aid skills to workers in industry.
Intermediate First Aid (OFA Level 2)
WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid (previously OFA Level 2) is a 14-hour program (excluding breaks) designed to provide first aid skills for worksites or employers located in close proximity to hospitals (less than 20 minutes).
Advanced First Aid (OFA Level 3)
WorkSafeBC Advanced First Aid (previously OFA Level 3) is a 70-hour program designed to provide advanced life saving first aid skills for remote worksites or employers with large workforce and are located more than 20 minutes away from medical aid or hospitals.
Trade Safety Coordinator (TSC) Training
The TSC course provides students with the understanding of the Worker’s Compensation Act and the OHS Regulation for BC. Students will be able to explain the history of safety and the basic principles for an OHS program as well as the roles within it.
Construction Safety Officer (CSO) Training
The CSO training program continues from the TSC program to provide students with a deeper understanding of the specifics of safety and hands-on skills. We will look at specific parts of the OHS Regulation and the WCA to ensure that our students are knowledgeable when going to a worksite.
Fall Protection Training
Our Fall Protection course is essential for individuals working at heights. It covers topics such as fall hazards, equipment selection and usage, and rescue techniques. By enrolling in this course, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to prevent falls and ensure workplace safety.
Joint Health and Safety Committee Training
Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) training aims at helping participants to identify and interpret joint health and safety committee member functions and duties and to carry out their responsibilities to promote workplace health and safety.
Train the Fit Tester (TFT) Training
The Train the Fit Tester course trains workers to understand the requirements of the Regulation, Act and CSA Standards related to performing respirator fit tests on workers.
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training
The Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) course focuses on the proper procedures for isolating energy sources during maintenance or repair work. Participants will learn about energy control measures, lockout/tagout devices, and risk assessment to prevent accidental energy release and protect workers.
